Emergency Demonstration in Winston-Salem Against Trump's Violation of Venezuelan Sovereignty

On Sunday, January 4th, members of the Socialist Party USA Central & Western NC local participated in 2 emergency demonstrations in response to Trump’s violation of Venezuelan sovereignty. The Greensboro event, organized by the Greensboro Revolutionary Socialists, had roughly 200 in attendance. The Winston-Salem event, hosted by Fuerza Triad and co-sponsored by the SP as well as Winston-Salem DSA, had a smaller turn out but managed to get some media coverage.

The article gives an interesting look at the demonstration in Winston-Salem and the concerns being raised about U.S. actions toward Venezuela. It’s useful to see how these issues are being discussed at the local level. I took a quick break with space waves after reading it.
