Socialist Party Statement on the War Against the People of Iran

The Socialist Party USA calls for an immediate end to the aggressive, unprovoked imperialist war against the peoples of Iran and Occupied Palestine by the United States and Israel. We call for an immediate end to all arms sales and logistical support to Israel by the US. Furthermore, we call for reparations to be made to the people of Iran for the damage done to Iran from US and Israeli bombing, and to the people of Palestine for Israel’s ongoing crimes against humanity.
We also call upon the Government of Israel to acknowledge and honor UN Resolution 194, UN Security Council Resolution 237, and UNGA Resolution 3236, to facilitate Palestinian right of return. No state should be forced to serve as a pawn for the hegemonic and imperialistic ambitions of the US. War and oppression never lead to peace.
And, to all US service members, we say: “If you are not in, do not join; and if you are in, do not fight.”
