Socialist Party of NJ Calls for Rutgers to End the Suspension of Students for Justice in Palestine

The Socialist Party of New Jersey stands in support of Students for Justice for Palestine (SJP). We fully support their right to organize, and their right to free speech. On December 12th, the Rutgers administration suspended the Rutgers New Brunswick Chapter of SJP without prior warning or notice to the justice organization.

The action on behalf of Rutgers is a truly disturbing attempt to shut down students’ right to organize, their right to free speech, and is an example of the intentionally politically motivated targeting of anyone who speaks out on behalf of the slaughter of Palestinians.

It is extremely frightening that this heavy-handed censorship is occurring on a public university campus. We join in the demand that Rutgers University lift the suspension now!
