Northern NJ Local Co-Sponsors Pendleton 2 Screening and Discussion

The Northern NJ Local joined with other local organizations to co-sponsor a screening of "The Pendleton 2: They Stood Up", about the case of racist violence and injustice in the prison system. The event was held on October 12th at The HUUB in Orange New Jersey and organized by a committee including Greg Pason and Diane Moxley of the Northern NJ Local and led by abolition organizer and educator Renee Johnston.


The event was hybrid, with participants in person and speakers attending virtually. A great afternoon and an important discussion led by Renee Johnston and Linda Carter. Panelists included Too Black, Leon Benson and Kalonji Changa.


Co-sponsors included the Public Square Amplified, Northern NJ Socialist Party, New African Black Panther Party, Union County Green Party and Montclair Beyond Policing.
