Fight White Supremacy at Home and Imperialism Abroad Rally in Albany NY

On Saturday July 25th, the Capital District Socialist Party of New York joined with 16 other organizations, led by Albany-Cuba Solidarity, in co-sponsoring a rally in commemoration of the anniversary of the beginning of the Cuban Revolution when Fidel Castro and his comrades stormed the Moncada military barracks. The rally, Fight White Supremacy at Home and Imperialism Abroad, featured speakers discussing the connections between the BLM movement here in the US and the on-going struggle of the Cuban Revolution against the illegal US-imposed blockade.

CDSP tabled with comrades in Upper Hudson Green Party in support of the Hawkins/Walker campaign. There was a good deal of interest in the party, and the campaign. In addition to literature we had masks and bottled water to hand out.

There was an enthusiastic crowd, despite the heat. The speakers were all very passionate and spoke with great conviction. The event wrapped up with each of the co-sponsors being given time to speak. Comrade Canyon spoke for CDSP and did a fantastic job.
