DC Socialist Food Distro

On September 8th, the Socialist Party DC Local handed out sandwiches, soap, menstrual pads, bananas, socks, underwear, and coffee to people in need in central DC along with out friends at Socialist Snack Squad. Although mutual aid like this is important in helping improve the lives of the working poor in the short term, it is important for us to recognize the fact that charity and mutual aid will never be enough to end poverty and homelessness and so we used this opportunity to educate people about how capitalism causes problems like poverty and homelessness.
