On Saturday July 25th, the Capital District Socialist Party of New York joined with 16 other organizations, led by Albany-Cuba Solidarity, in co-sponsoring a rally in commemoration of the anniversary of the beginning of the Cuban Revolution when Fidel Castro and his comrades stormed the Moncada military barracks. Out there serving the people! Our distribution was in Parkview Green, South City, Redding. We were able to serve fresh fruits, veggies, cold drinks. We intend this to be the first of many mutual aid actions. We’re out there helping working class households through an epidemic, illegal evictions and housing policies, where the government and corporations have abandoned the people. Members of the Northern New Jersey Socialist Party joined Students for Justice at the Black Lives Matter Solidarity Space at Watchung Plaza in Montclair. Dozens of residents joined the event for spoken word, music and discussion led and organized by local students.
Capital District Socialist Party joined with more than 11,000 others on June 7th in Troy to continue the calls for justice for the victims of police brutality and abuse of power, for community control of policing, and to declare that Black Lives Matter!
